Employee Perks

Discovering Your Chautauqua Experience

There are countless ways that our talent will engage with our mission, vision, and diverse communities, and you are invited to immerse yourself in our programming as a gateway to this experience.  Employees will receive a traditional Chautauqua gate pass, free of cost, which provides access to many of our programs at the Amphitheater.  In addition to a traditional gate pass, employees and their families will receive full access to our current and historical programs online at CHQ Assembly.

Getting Here and Getting Around

Our talent may bring a personal vehicle to work at Chautauqua Institution.  Parking is available at an employer-owned parking lot nearby (approximately .25 - .50 miles from most worksites) and 'off-grounds.'  You are encouraged to bring a bike to travel from either the parking lot to your worksite or around campus.  The Institution restricts vehicle traffic during summer operations and is very bike-friendly with options to rack/lock your bike.

The Institution is located in a rural area of Western New York.  There is no public transportation available and few options for groceries or retail nearby.  Personal vehicle or transportation will be required to surrounding communities of Jamestown, NY (20-Miles) or Erie, PA (35-Miles).  The more major metropolitan areas nearby are Buffalo, NY (75-Miles), Niagara Falls, NY (100-Miles), Cleveland, OH (135-Miles), and Pittsburgh, PA (160-Miles).

Transportation may be coordinated individually from the airport or discussed during the interview process with the Talent Management Team.  Shuttle services may be coordinated to/from the airport for group arrivals.
