    POSITION TITLE: Adventure Coach

    WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE

    Co-workers look to you as the expert on the area and feel confident in referring guests to you.
    The brand comes to life through the adventure experience. Guests know you by name.
    Guests learn unique and thoughtful information about our area and are excited to return and engage in activities.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Lead daily activities. Ensure each activity standard is delivered and guests learn something new about, area history, geology, geography, plant and animal life. Guests leave with unique, thoughtful, and interesting facts that they may not have known.
    Engage guests in the brand. Actively communicate with guests before their arrival and during their arrival to share opportunities for private, complimentary group and self-guided activities. Proactively determine the needs of each guest. Offer suggestions that fit their fitness level, time restraints, interests. Share insider tips.
    Assist guests in reservations for activities following the designated processes.
    Collaborate with the Adventure team r to create new, seasonal guest activities and experiences that exemplify the brand.
    Ensure adventure equipment is properly stored and guest ready at all times.
    Know the activities, unique history, flora and fauna of the Pacific City and North Coast area.
    Work as a team. Recognize when a team member may need support and lend a hand; welcome desk, housekeeping, Maintenance, Meridian.
    Support the lodge daily operations; answer calls, make reservations, deliver amenities, respond to guest requests, stock pantries, prepare for arriving guests, other tasks as needed.

    Job Summary:

Whatever you can think of, they’re up to the challenge – from beach bonfires and bird watching to crabbing and kayaking. Our Adventure Coaches are avid explorers of the Oregon Coast and love to share their discoveries—book a private outing with your personal guide for a trail hike, kayak trip or an adventure you design together

    Job Responsibilities/Duties (You will...):

    Lead daily activities. Perform each activity to achieve the desired guest experience. Share with guests your love and knowledge of: area history, geology, geography, plant and animal life
    Have an expertise in Yoga instruction and lead private and/or group yoga sessions
    Build relationships with guests. Introduce yourself upon arrival and let them know they can count on you to deliver an experience right for them.
    Engage guests in the brand. Share your stoke of our coastal home and let guests know of the beauty and natural wonder around every corner and how and where to find it. Share with guests what Headlands is all about and why we do what we do.
    Actively communicate with guests before and during their arrival to share opportunities for private, complimentary group and self-guided activities. Proactively determine the needs of each guest. Offer suggestions that fit their fitness level, time restraints, interests. Share insider tips.
    Provide assistance, when needed, to the Adventure Coordinator to book activities for guests using the designated processes and SOPs.
    Collaborate with other Adventure Coaches, the Adventure Coordinator and the department Manager to create new, seasonal guest activities and experiences. Use the brand as lens to determine which activities are right for Headlands.

    Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stretch, push, pull, climb, and kneel for prolonged periods of time
    Work in a variety of weather conditions

    Qualifications (You will bring…):

    1-2 years’ experience leading private group tours/activities, preferably outdoors
    Certified Yoga instructor (preferred)
    Knowledge and/or expertise in the area history, geology, geography, plant, and animal life
    Be flexible with work schedules, job duties and job locations
    Be comfortable speaking in front of groups
    Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm & courteous, and ability to connect with them.
    Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and work cohesively as part of a team

    Job Summary:

    Own administrative duties for the Adventure Team
    Coordinate all Adventures for the team to ensure a seamless guest experience by working with our guests in a fun and professional way. Ask for assistance when needed
    Be ultimately accountable for booking activities for guests using the designated processes and SOPs
    Work with the Adventures Team Manager daily to ensure that all tasks are being completed. Create goals with the manager that will align with current and future goals.
    Assist in developing the knowledge of the team by planning for on-going trainings and certifications.
    Help the Adventures manager to manage invoices.
    Engage guests in the brand, especially through sharing the why and how of the adventure department. Actively communicate with guests before their arrival and during their arrival to share opportunities for private, complimentary group and self-guided activities. Proactively determine the needs of each guest. Offer suggestions that fit their fitness level, time restraints, interests. Share insider tips.
    Collaborate with Adventure Coaches and the department Manager to create new, seasonal guest activities and experiences that meet the brand. Inspire the team to be a part of the process.
    Ensure adventure equipment is properly managed and ready for the next adventure.

    Qualifications (You will bring…):

    1-2 years’ experience leading private group tours/activities, preferably outdoors
    Previous administrative/coordinator experience preferred
    Excellent organization and computer skills
    Advanced written and verbal communication skills
    Be flexible with work schedules, job duties and job locations
    Strong time-management skills & multitasking ability
    Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm & courteous, and ability to connect with them
    Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and work cohesively as part of a team

    The Marketplace Clerk is the first smiling face to welcome our Guests while they are shopping at the Marketplace.  You will have a variety of day-to-day responsibilities that include performing stock duties and processing customer orders.   

    Qualifications:

    • Previous grocery store and/or convenience store clerk/stocker/deli experience preferred (not required)
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fun and fast paced environment
    • Experience with cash handling and completing customer service transactions
    • Ability to focus on attention to guest needs and customer service

    Job Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Greet customers, provide them with item information and direct them to the item’s location in a store
    • Control inventory and inform procurement managers in case of low inventory levels
    • Discard all expired items according to company policy and place near expiry ones on special promotions
    • Perform stocking duties such as lifting, rotating products, ordering, blocking, dusting, and facing
    • Process customer orders and oversee timely product deliveries
    • Receive grocery items delivery and confirm the accuracy of both order and invoice

    Job Summary:

    As the Chief Facilities and Maintenance Engineer you will lead and manage the maintenance and facilities team for a range of businesses within our Family of Companies including Pelican Brew Pubs, Pelican Brewing Operations, Hotel and Lodging Properties, and Restaurants.

    You will partner and collaborate with company-wide leaders to affirm objectives and accomplish the desired guest experience by directing facilities and maintenance teams to complete preventative maintenance and repairs as well as focusing on certain long-term facilities’ projects.

    What you will do:

    • Guide the facilities and maintenance teams in both daily operations and long-term projects that reinforce the Company’s Brand Standards and Core Values. 
    • Work along side the Director of Development and Senior Leadership in the areas of design development, cost calculation, contract negotiation, and the safe and efficient execution of facilities and maintenance plans.
    • Ensure alignment of all facilities and maintenance plans with the strategic goals of the company; contribute to strategy development in the areas of facility design, maximum efficiency, and team member and guest experience.
    • Manages costs, materials, and labor expenses; submit budgetary proposals and assessments to property leaders and Director of Development. 
    • Ensure compliance with all Fire Department and Health Department requirements; maintain up to date Federal, State and Local governing agencies’ certifications through collaboration with property leaders.
    • Lead and/or participate in property safety committees and provide guidance as to best practices.
    • Schedule, coordinate, and inspect all preventative maintenance, refurbishment, and public and team member area projects on a regular basis.
    • Collaborate with property leaders to understand their facilities and maintenance goals and budgets.
    • Effectively interview, lead, coach, and follow-up with team members to ensure maximum productivity and alignment with Company culture and values; train team members on all SOPs to ensure understanding and accountability.
    • Manage and oversee company vendor relationships.
    • Lead property inspections and regular walk throughs to ensure all areas are well maintained and preventative maintenance processes are in place.

    Experience and Education to include:

    • 5+ years’ experience leading a facilities and maintenance team in the hospitality industry.
    • Knowledge of facility and maintenance engineering functions, such as HVAC & refrigeration, plumbing, and electricity
    • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly and with excellent attention to detail.
    • Technology skills to support the functions of the role that include familiarity with property management systems, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new software and related applications in the handling of maintenance/work orders.
    • Bachelors or Associates Degree from an accredited University in Building and Construction, Engineering, Facilities Management, and/or related field.

    Position Overview

    The Laundry Attendant & Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering linen at all of Kiwanda Hospitality Group’s properties, assisting in Laundry tasks in our Central Laundry facility as needed, and performing housekeeping duties to maintain facility as necessary.

    Performance Objective

    Laundry Delivery and Pick Up. You will transport clean linen bins from Central Laundry to the different KHG properties, and pick up dirty linen bins and transport them back to Central Laundry, all in Pacific City.

    Laundry Operations. You will maintain labels of all laundry bins to ensure that linen and terry does not mix between properties. Weigh bins and fill out packing slips. Clean and sanitize dirty bins in preparation for clean linen. Check equipment functions properly and perform preventative maintenance on laundry equipment.

    Laundry Tasks. You will assist the Laundry Attendants in operating and monitoring washing and drying machinery, including adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps. Help with folding cleaned articles into designated size. Make sure all cleaning supplies are properly labeled and used in the proper manner to ensure the safety of yourself and your co-workers.

    Vehicle Maintenance. You must inspect vehicle for damage and cleanliness. Sweep and clean vehicle at end of each day. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle, and refuel as necessary.

    Education and Experience. Previous hotel related experience is beneficial and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. You must have a valid Driver’s License.

    Physical. You must be able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance. Be able to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

This role will welcome all guests with genuine hospitality that represents all facets of our business. This role will expertly assist the smooth and seamless function of the office. Our team will feel supported and visitors will feel welcome when they enter our doors.

    Requirements:

    Strong computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, Powerpoint and Quickbooks.
    Must be a self-starter, critical thinker and problem solver.
    Must be able to think outside the box, be able to see what needs to be done and do it.
    Strong follow through is required. Follow up with each task assigned and the project’s status.
    Ability to set and meet deadlines

    Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Answer questions
    Accept storage payments and rent units using the Storage Rental program. Complete twice weekly facility checks. Keep vacancy map/list current. Send out monthly billings and delinquency notices. Follow the necessary procedures for lock out, liens and clearing out the units. Primary contact for our Storage business. Provide regular updates to the Manager regarding Storage activity.
    Answer Phones – be the voice of our business office; take and distribute messages, transfer calls, keep the company phone list updated. Work with IT to ensure that office phones are updated.
    Greet customers and help them with their needs. Find the right person to answer their question, seat them and get them water or coffee as necessary.
    Receive packages from UPS and Fed Ex then make sure they get to the right people.
    Awareness of office team schedules.
    Be a problem solver.
    Keep common areas of the office neat and tidy (straighten cushions, magazines, conference room) and the kitchen tidy (empty dishwasher, load dishwasher, wipe down counters, make coffee, order bottled water & supplies, etc.)
    Manage maintenance items for the office – note light bulbs that need to be changed, window cleaning, etc.
    Be responsible for figuring postage and mailing packages via USPS, UPS and Fed Ex.
    Participate in check runs and bulk mailings
    Assist accounts payable
    Make bank and post office runs twice daily and deliver intercompany mail.
    Create flyers, brochures, documents as required using the computer and any program necessary. This may include table tents, menus, posters, beer lists, etc.
    Printing, copying, filing, laminating, trimming menus, etc. for the Pelican, Stimulus, Cottages, and any other business as needed. Includes keeping up with monthly coffee & discount cards.
    Be responsible for making sure the photocopier is working correctly; work with the repairman as needed and order supplies. Be the front line for fixing jambs and other copier problems. Make sure the copier is loaded with paper before leaving each day. Order toner and copier supplies.
    Order office supplies and maintain par levels of paper, pens, paper clips, laminating pouches, etc. Re-order before we run out. Make sure the office doesn’t run out of coffee, bottled water, paper supplies.
    Data entry, pulling invoices and processing checks for mailing and other accounting tasks as requested by Accounting.
    Monitor online reviews and forward to management on a weekly basis.
    Office party coordinator – gather supplies, circulate cards, etc. to celebrate the office team’s birthdays.
    Run errands around town and to Lincoln City or Tillamook for ownership/management as needed.
    Special projects as assigned – may include things like Christmas party planning and help, assembling gift baskets, and more.
    Other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience:

    High School Diploma
    One year of office experience preferred

    • Front Desk Duties: You will be responsible for the daily operational tasks of the front desk. Greet guests, handle check-ins, checkouts, and guest requests in a friendly, attentive, courteous, and efficient manner. Listen & extend assistance to resolve any guest issues that may arise.  
    • Administrative Tasks: You will answer all incoming calls; assisting with any guest needs. Know the special features, amenities, and services of the properties and Pacific City area. Utilize various software to make reservations, communicate between departments and submit work orders to ensure that guest needs are delivered. 
    • Support the Daily Operations: Complete a daily checklist of duties that helps support the daytime operations. This includes but is not limited to; stocking supplies, filling water bottles, and delivering housekeeping baskets. 
    • Be available to assist offsite: You will have a company issued device to receive after hour guest needs. You will be expected to use a company provided vehicle to travel to guests at any of our lodging properties in Pacific City should they require in person assistance. 
    • Support the Night Audit Team: Work as a team to ensure 10 minute & 30 Minute Lunch breaks are covered at each property. Recognize when a team member may need support and lend a hand. 

    Qualifications (You will bring…):

    • Previous front desk/guest service experience in a hotel and/or resort setting preferred (not required)
    • Must be available to work within the hours of 9pm to 7am
    • Experience with cash handling and completing customer service transactions
    • A valid drivers license is required.

    As a server’s assistant you will be directly responsible for the overall flow of the restaurant. Directly interacting with customers to help create memorable experiences. Working with servers, bartenders, and the management team to help meet the needs of all our guests.

    What Will You Do:
    Monitor and maintain table setting by removing dishes as they are completed, replenish drinks and utensils, and attend to guest requests.
    Prepare dining room for guests by cleaning and clothing tables; set decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils.
    Bus, cleans, and resets tables.
    Greet guests and answer any questions in a friendly manner.

    Job Summary:

    The Tidepools Spa & Wellness Manager is responsible for ensuring the Tidepools experience consistently meets the standards of our brand promise. You will be an expert in spa product lines and ensure that Tidepools is always offering the best products and treatment services that meet our brand standard.

    Job Responsibilities/Duties (You will...):

    Team Member Experience:

    Hire, train, and develop new team members so that they are experts on our brand, the Tidepools and lodge experience
    Engage the spa team in personal and professional growth while recognizing the needs of each team member and ensure they have a clear direction and goals

    Guest Experience & Brand Integrity:

    Ensure that the Tidepools experience consistently meets the standards of our brand promise
    Regularly collaborate with stakeholders to create, improve, and deliver a seamless guest experience
    Optimize the treatment schedule to ensure the maximum number of available treatments for guests
    Resolve all guest issues through the lens of our core values

    Daily Operations:

    Be knowledgeable and work to optimize all software and systems
    Complete daily and monthly reporting and review to see trends and opportunities
    Accurately complete and submit payroll and invoices to meet the set deadlines
    Partner with Human Resources to meet all standards
    Ensure all physical spaces, equipment and tools are maintained and meet the brand standards along with local, state and federal regulations
    Be an expert in spa product lines and ensure that Tidepools is always offering the best products that meet our brand standard

    Financial/Business Management:

    Plan and forecast the business needs to meet the seasonal guest demands
    Manage ordering retail and backbar inventory to meet the business demand and budget
    Develop spa treatment offerings that highlight relevant partners, are on brand and change seasonally
    Collaborate with the Director of Brand Engagement to develop and maintain the retail guest experience in Tidepools
    Ensure all team members maintain all certifications and health and safety guidelines

    Qualifications (You will bring…):

    2+ years previous spa management experience in a hotel and/or resort setting
    Effective leadership skills and a strong work ethic
    Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments, as well as retail operations and inventory systems
    Experience with cash handling and completing customer service transactions
    Familiarity with front office computer software, such as MS Word, Excel, and typical hotel reservation systems.
    Prioritize and engage in multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be detailed in your approach and thorough in your follow up in both action and communication
    Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm & courteous at all times
    Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and work cohesively as part of a team
    Training or licensure in different types of massage, cosmetology, and different types of beauty treatments desirable
