Manage the housekeeping department by working with and communicating with the Housekeeping Supervisors and the In-Room Maintenance Supervisors.  Checks all work assignments for public areas/laundry/rooms/in-room maintenance to ensure property regulations and safety rules are followed, in adherence to Company standards.


  • Must have previous experience in Housekeeping or Property Management experience
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, enjoy working with people and able to lead by example
  • Ability to multi-task and solve problems
  • Must have very good oral and written communication skills in order to respond to guest/owner and employee needs in an appropriate, profession and courteous manner
  • Bilingual skills preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in varied weather conditions


  • Must attend daily and weekly meetings required in order to provide the best guest service
  • Responsible for the “Coaching” and “Training" of the housekeeping department employees within the Company guidelines
  • Must maintain excellent communication with Condominium Owners
  • Supervise housekeeping, in-room maintenance and laundry staff, hire new employees, as needed, discharge employees when necessary and carefully document disciplinary actions when policies have been violated.  Evaluate employees regularly to effectively communicate to them their job performance and to help develop all personnel to their fullest potential according to their background and abilities
  • It is mandatory that constant communication be kept with the housekeeping department and front office; therefore, a radio must be worn at all times
  • Plan the work for the Housekeeping, Laundry and In-Room Maintenance employees by distributing assignments accordingly
  • Follow up periodically to ensure work assignments are being completed according to plan
  • Prepare daily housekeeping “boards” and provide them to housekeepers
  • Oversee and follow up “room inspection sheets” and tabulate monthly scores and provide them to the GM
  • Order all supplies to smoothly operate the department
  • Maintain a Lost and Found Department.  Responsible for all lost and found items 
  • Determine the rightful owner and mail to appropriate address
  • Meet with the GM to verify and approve all housekeeping charges to owners
  • Oversee monthly inventories of all housekeeping supplies on the last day of each month
  • Responsible for all payroll records, turns in time log reports to payroll department in a timely manner and maintain staffing forecasts with the assistance of the GM 
  • Adhere to procedures as outlined by the Human Resources
  • Department when recruiting, hiring, coaching and terminating employees.
  • Responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the housekeeping department with other departments
  • Routinely inspects units to ensure Company standards of quality in cleanliness are meet
  • Responsible for all key cards and when replacing when needed.  Maintains the strictest controls of all keys in the housekeeping department
